Obituary

Lonnie Shan Krause, 48, of Harrison, Michigan, and formerly of Sullivan and Linton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2007, at his home. Born in Rantoul, Illinois, on June 28, 1959, he was the son of Edward E. and Patricia L. (Meng) Krause.

Lonnie served his country in the United States Army. He had resided in Harrison since 1997, coming from Florida. He was a member of the American Legion Post #404 of Harrison. Lonnie enjoyed collecting Harley Davidson collectables, watching wildlife shows and monster truck racing on television. He especially enjoyed watching the Discovery and History channels.

Surviving are his girlfriend and caregiver, Sheila Marie Tatum of Harrison, his mother, Patricia L. Christison of Spencer, Indiana, his grandmother, Iva (Clark) Meng of Sullivan, Indiana, one brother, Tony E. (Kimberly) Krause of Spencer, Indiana, four sisters: Cynthia G. (Carl) Speas of Ellettsville, Indiana, Stephannie D (Mark) Queen of Bloomington, Indiana, Lisa L. (Randall) Browning of Ellettsville, and Lori A. (Paul) Frye of Bloomington, Indiana. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father, Edward Krause, in May 2003, and grandfather, Edgar Meng, in 1980.

The family followed Mr. Krause's wishes by cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date here in Indiana. Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel has been entrusted with the local arrangements.
