Louis A. 'Louie' Mehay, Jr., 88, of Bloomington, IN, formerly of Dugger, IN, entered into eternal rest Friday, March 15, 2013, at Garden Villa in Bloomington. He was born on May 28, 1924, in Cass Township, Indiana to Louis A. Sr. and Julie (Roget) Mehay. Louie married Janice (Giblin) on September 24, 2004.

Louie served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He was later employed at Crane Public Works as a boiler mechanic and retired in 1980. Louie was a member of the American Legion Post #22 and Linton VFW.

Survivors include his son, Stephen Mehay, Sr. of Pacific Grove, CA; grandson, Stephen Mehay, Jr., of Bloomington, IN; and three great-grandchildren, Darren, Bryant and Samantha Mehay.

Louie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, twin brothers, Arthur and George Mehay, and one sister, Simone Simon.

Following the wishes of Louie, there will be no services. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2013, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Burial will follow at a later date at the Dugger Cemetery, Dugger, IN.

The family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association and envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home. Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton has been entrusted with all funeral arrangements.
