Lowell E. 'Hap' Harroll, 75, of Switz City, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on April 13, 1938 in Greene County, Indiana to Lowell and Gladys (Hensley) Harroll. Lowell married Vera Joan Rubeck on June 30, 1978. They were happily married for 35 years.

Lowell retired in 1992 from IBEW 1393 as a Linesman and High Lines with 37 years of service. He was a member of IBEW 1393.

He is survived by: his wife, Joan Harroll; three sons: Michael (Denise) Harroll of Worthington, Jim (Penny) Harroll of Switz City, Lowell Harroll, Jr. of Lyons; three daughters, Cindy (Doug) McCammon of Linton, Debra (Dick) Waskom of Switz City, Joy (Rick) Weaver of Linton; three step-sons, Joe (Lana) Waskom of Virginia, Dick (Debra) Waskom of Switz City, Charles (Nancy) Waskom of Jasper; one step-daughter, Lisa (Jay) Price of Switz City; fifteen grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Elizabeth (Tom) Thompson of Linton.

Lowell was preceded in death by: his first wife, Lena Mae Canady (1967), brother, Keith Harroll and step-son, Gene Waskom.

The family has requested that memorial contributions may be to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 9 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Jonathan Ryser officiating. Interment will follow in the Switz City Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, November 8 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday.

The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN.
