Margaret B. Ellis, 90, of Linton, IN, passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN. She was born in Bloomfield, IN on June 21, 1921, to William C. and Rebecca (Lester) Isenogle. On November 30, 1945, she married Herbert J. Ellis and they had two children.

Margaret was a Beautician and she owned/operated Venus Beauty Salon and she retired in 1985. She was a member of the Saron United Church of Christ, a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star Columbian Chapter and Psi Iota Xi Sorority member.

Survivors include one son: Joe (Jenny) Ellis of Chandler, IN; one daughter: Carol (Rodney L.) Walker of Linton; grandchildren: Claire Marie, Melissa Anne Ellis, Rodney Ellis (Amy) and Ryan Joe Walker; one great-grandson: Blake Matthew Walker.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert Ellis (07/10/2000); one sister and two brothers.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Saron United Church of Christ and/or Shriners Hospitals for Children. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN, with Rev. Mike Roth officiating. Interment will follow at Burris Chapel Cemetery in Linton, IN.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, from 8:00 am to 10:00 am on Saturday, May 12, 2012.
