Margaret 'Maggie' Peden, 101, of Sandborn, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, Florida. She was born in Vincennes, Indiana on March 8, 1913 to Jacob and Sarah (Hulen) Birdlow. Maggie married Raymond Allen 'Casey' Peden on February 7, 1933.

Maggie was a member of the Sandborn Christian Church where she served as organist for 70 years. She worked as a store clerk for Gregory's Grocery, Hamilton Paint Store and Montgomery Ward before becoming the Sandborn Town Clerk. Maggie enjoyed gardening, quilting and crocheting.

Survivors include: daughter, Carolyn (Kay) Sargent of Sandborn; three grandsons, Gary (Gretchen) Sargent of Florida, Greg (Lori) Sargent of Sandborn and Todd (Angie) Sargent of Worthington; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two nieces.

Maggie was preceded in death by: her husband, Casey Peden; her parents; one brother, Edward Birdlow and one niece.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Sandborn Christian Church with Bryan Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in the Sandborn Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, January 19 and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 20.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Sandborn Christian Church in Maggie's memory. Envelopes will be available at the church.
