Margaret M. (Murdock) Richards, 86, of Linton, IN, passed away Saturday evening, May 5th, 2012, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton, IN. She was born in Linton, IN, on November 25, 1925, to Andrew Murdock and Margaret Rosetta (Jarman). On June 14, 1947, she married George A. "Pest" Richards.

Margaret worked for the Linton-Stockton Elementary cafeteria for 12 years until she retired in 1968. She was a member of the American Legion Post #22 Ladies Auxiliary as well as the Loyal Order of the Moose 1434. She also served as president of the Euchre Club.

Survivors include two sons: Richard (Karen) Richards and John (Marsha) Richards, both of Linton, IN; one sister: Barbara Ellen (John) Sheffler, of Sullivan, Indiana seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
