Marie T. Bogard, 100, of Linton, IN, passed from this life on Monday, May 23, 2016, at her residence. She was a life-long resident of Linton born on January 28, 1916, the daughter of John D. and Elsie J. (Trinkle) Taylor. On March 14, 1948, she married Clarence C. 'Jim' Bogard and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1986.
Marie was a member of the Linton First Christian Church. She worked for Greene County in the Treasurer's Office and, also, at the Indiana Employment Office, retiring in 1974. Marie enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Survivors include a daughter, Patty (Ron) Wiggington of Linton, 4 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 4 great, great-grandchildren.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence Bogard, a step-son, James Bogard, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Contributions, in memory of Marie, may be made to Linton First Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, May, May 27, 2016, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, with Warren Shake officiating. Marie will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 26, 2016, and from 12 noon until the hour of service on Friday at 2:00 PM.
