Marion Elizabeth A"BettyA" McKain, 87, of Sullivan, IN passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at her residence. She was born on July 8, 1921 in Mason Co., MI to Frank and Agnes (Nulph) Silvis. She married Ralph H. McKain on August 13, 1937.

Betty was a homemaker and farmer, retiring in 2001. She was a member of New Beginnings Worship Center in Sullivan.

Survivors include her son, Harley McKain, daughter, Judy Lynn (Darrell) Alexander and daughter-in-law Karen McKain all of Sullivan; grandchildren, Brad McKain, Teresa Smith, Tom McKain, Soni Graves, Neal and Kyle Alexander; great-grandchildren, Kaylan, Sarah, J.R., MacKenzie, Kendall, Brittney, Justin, Austin, Kayli, Grant, Chloe, Tyler and Eric.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph McKain on June 23, 2008, one son Ronnie McKain, one granddaughter Denise Lynn Alexander, one great-granddaughter Kristen Rae McKain, three brothers and five sisters.

The family has requested contributions be made to New Beginnings Worship Center in Sullivan. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Friends may call at New Beginnings Worship Center, 54 N. Beasley St., Sullivan, (one block N of East Washington St.) Thursday, October 16, 2008, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Randol Easton officiating. A private burial will take place on Friday, October 17, 2008 at Merom Cemetery in Merom, Indiana. The McKain family has entrusted these arrangements with the Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel.
