Marjorie J. Reed, 90, of Elnora, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at the Ketcham Memorial Center, Odon, Indiana. Born in Elnora, Indiana, on May 1, 1919, she was the daughter of Clarence and Lola (Paul) Wilkin. She married Frank Reed on August 23, 1937.

Marjorie was a homemaker and owned/operated the Elnora Cafe for several years. She enjoyed her flower gardens and crocheting. She was a member of the Elnora Christian Church.

Surviving family includes two sons, Donald Reed of Lyons, IN, Gary Reed and one daughter, Marsue Carpenter both of Elnora, IN. Also surviving is 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and one brother, Elwood Wilkin of Elnora, IN.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1972, one granddaughter, one great grandson, four sisters and two brothers.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Elnora Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Friends may call at the Elnora Christian Church from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, March 22, 2010. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 22, 2010, at the church, with Dick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Elnora Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, IN.
