Obituary

Mark Dennis Brinson, 53, of Bloomfield, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Linton, Indiana on March 28, 1960 to James E. 'J.E.' and Leota Mae (Johnson) Brinson.

Mark was a US Army veteran, serving from 1979-1987, earning awards for weapons expert, sniper and sharpshooter. He was a member of the Sandborn United Methodist Church, Class of '79 NKHS, 101st Airborne, European Rodeo Circuit, Bloomfield American Legion Post, NRA and American Fisherman's Club. He had been employed at Great Dane as a fork lift operator and at Perdue, Thomson Consumer Electronics and the Big Lots Linton store.

Survivors include: his mother, Leota Brinson; three sons, Matthew Brinson of Panama City, FL, Johnathan Caleb Brinson and James Aaron Casey Brinson, both of Lyons; two grandchildren, Madisyn Trinity Young-Brinson and Angel Young and two sisters, Cynthia Brinson and Carmen Cross, both of Bloomfield.

He was preceded in death by: his father, James E. 'J.E.' Brinson and infant brother, Michael Brinson.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home in memory of Mark to assist with final arrangements.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel at 7:00 PM with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Burial will be at a later date.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, November 25, 2013 from 5:00 PM until time of service.

The family has entrusted the Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home in Linton with these arrangements.
