Mark Gordon Thomas, 64, of Linton, IN, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, in Linton. Mark was born on June 7, 1948 to William and Eleanor (Bratkowski) Thomas in Hamtramick, Michigan.

Mark was employed with the Worthington Pork Processing Plant as a production supervisor until their closure. He was also a home builder and carpenter. Mark served his country by enlisting in the United States Navy in 1968. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He will be well remembered by friends and family for always helping and caring.

Survivors include: two sons, Shawn and Shane Thomas both of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Marki Thomas and fiance` Michelle "Shelly" Secrest of Linton; step-daughters, Larissa Secrest and Tadder Sturgis both of Linton; one granddaughter, Kaela Shae Thomas of Jacksonville, FL and one sister, Diane Schulman of Michigan.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eleanor Thomas.

Papaw Mark was very caring and loved very much. He will be missed a lot and always in our hearts.

The family will hold a memorial service on Sunday, April 14 at 2:00 pm at the Lyons Community Center on Broad Street in Lyons.

Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Homes of Linton were entrusted with these arrangements. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home in memory of Mark.
