Martha J. Lemonds, 85, of Bloomington, IN, formerly of Linton, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2012, in Bloomington. She was born on December 17, 1926, in Harrodsburg, IN, to Charles and Violet (Doub) Pritchett. She married Robert D. "Bob" Lemonds on March 29, 1955.
Martha was employed for over twenty years in various capacities at the Linton-Stockton School Corporation.
Survivors include three daughters: Barbara (Bob) Herman of Linton, Rhonda
(Dan) Galbraith-Cowan of Muncie, IN, and Linda (Jerry) Brown of Red Oak, TX; grandchildren: Stacey Hubbell, Todd Herman, Kylie Ruhl, Lindsay Deck, Amanda Flatten, Brittney Watson and Jamie Brown; great-grandchildren: Samantha Zimmerly, Mariah and Jake Hubbell, Abbie and Andrew Herman, Ty, Emersyn and Kipton Ruhl, Railea Wright, Colter Driscoll and Kinley Flatten and a brother: Ray Pritchett of Piketon, OH.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Lemonds; great-granddaughter, Meranda Hubbell; one sister, Velma Wright and three brothers, Charles, Willis and Ralph Pritchett.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Garden Villa Alzheimer's unit. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2012, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with James Stone officiating.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012, and from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Saturday, December 8, 2012. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN.
