Mary L. Anderson, 90, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, April 27, 2009, at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. Born in Birdseye, Arkansas, on July 13, 1918, she was the daughter of Cal and Dora (Scott) Lesley. On August 16, 1933, she married Arlie J. Anderson.

Mary was a faithful member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Linton for over 50 years. She worked for Real Silk Manufacturing and Waitress/Cook at Kluesmier Restaurant.

Survivors include three sons, Jim (Cindy) Anderson, Paul (Nancy) Anderson, Jerry (Margie) Anderson, all of Linton, IN; three daughters, Audrey 'Terry' (Elisha) Enochs, Joyce (Bill) Gentry, Arlene (Kevin) Theroff, all of Linton, IN; fourteen grandchildren, two step grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arlie J. Anderson, two grandsons, John and Bradley Anderson, and great grandson Eric Anderson.

For those who wish to make memorial contributions, the family has named Calvary Baptist Church or Bloomington Hospital Home Health and Hospice, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, April 30, 2009, and from 9:00 AM, Friday, May 1, until the hour of service. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Friday, with Dr. H. Eugene Riker officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
