Mary Ruth Watson, 95, of La Mirada, CA, formerly of Linton, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2012, in La Mirada, CA. She was born on May 18, 1917, in Linton, IN, to James and Flara (Meadors) Rice. She married Charles E. Davis in June 1936, and he preceded in death. In March of 1959, she married Lee H. Watson.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the Rock of Faith Church in Upland, CA.

Survivors include two daughters, Debra (James) Sharp of Fontana, CA, and Lois Carpenter of La Mirada, CA; 5 grandchildren: Mike, Donna, Lorra, James, and Nathan; 17 Great-grandchildren and 3 Grt-Grt-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a granddaughter, Barbara Gail, six brothers: William, Clifford "Fate", Danny, Paul, Silas and James Rice, Jr, and a sister: Martha Roark.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 14, 2012, at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, December 14, 2012.
