Michael Shan Bowers, 48, of Linton, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at his residence. He was born on April 9, 1966 in Linton to Ronald L. and Genie Boyle Bowers. Michael married his wife, Stacy J. Daymude on December 16, 2013.

Shan was a member of IBEW #1393 in Indianapolis where he was employed as a Journeyman Lineman. He was also a member of the BPO Elks #866 and Sons of the Legion Post #22. Shan's hobbies were riding his Harley, fishing, mushroom hunting and traveling.

Survivors include: his wife, Stacy Bowers; his parents, Ron and Genie Bowers of Linton; one son, Shan Michael Bowers of Vincennes; one daughter, Kailee Bowers of Vincennes; three grandsons, Maddox Ray Bowers, Gavin James and Jaden Joe Daugherty; stepchildren, Corianne and William Barnes and one brother, Jeffrey Loren Bowers of Gainesville, TX.

Shan was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Isabella Bowers.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 26 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Warren Shake officiating. Interment will follow in the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons, IN.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, April 25 and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

The Bowers family has entrusted the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with all arrangements.
