Michelle R. Hamilton, 35, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Monday, January 5, 2009, at her residence. She was born in Daviess County, Indiana, on October 15, 1973, to Michael U. and Phyllis J. (Underhill) Hoggatt. On August 1, 1998, she married Brian P. Hamilton.

Michelle was a LPN for Select Medical and a mother to her young daughter.

Survivors include her husband, Brian P. Hamilton of Linton; one daughter, Ashley Hamilton at home; one brother, James D. Hoggatt of Linton; one step-sister Ruby Bethke of Indianapolis; her mother, Phyllis Judy Hoggatt of Linton and her father, Michael U. (Nancy) Hoggatt of Bloomington. Also surviving are her aunts, Betty Hoggatt, Rose Lannan, Wanda Griffith, Bonnie Cooper and Joyce Fitzgerald.

Michelle was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mildred Underhill, Edison Underhill, Rev. Herbert and Lucille Hoggatt.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday, January 8, 2009. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, January 8, 2009 with Rev. Michael Douglas officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
