Mitzi Kaye Thomas, 57, of Lafayette, Indiana, went to Heaven with family by her side, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. She was born on April 4, 1968, in Jacksonville, Arkansas and was the daughter of Ora Lex Thomas, Jr. and Rita M. (Hollingsworth) Dave Reinhard.

Mitzi was of the Methodist faith. She was employed at First Merchants Bank in the Human Resources Department and was an avid IU fan. Mitzi loved her cats and playing cards.

Family left to cherish the memories of Mitzi include: her mother, Rita (Dave) Reinhard of Bluffton, IN; her father, Ora Lex Thomas, Jr.; aunts, Joyce (Don) Dennis and Donna (Steve) Armstrong, both of Linton; several cousins and friends.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harley and Ruby Hollingsworth, Amos and Martha Reinhard, and Mildred Thomas.

Private family graveside service was held at Sandborn Cemetery with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.
