Modena Hardesty, 85 of Lyons passed away Sunday, April 15, 2007 at the Lyons Health & Living Ctr. Born in Greene County, Indiana, on August 4, 1921, she was the daughter of Otis and Edith (Riley) Bartley. She married William Bill Hardesty on November 12, 1943.

Modena was a member of the Lyons United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star Lyons Chapter #371 and the Rebecca Lodge of Bloomfield.
She was a homemaker.

Survivors include a daughter: Brenda K. (Larry) Burch of Linton and Son: Michael W. Hardesty of Bloomington, IN Three grandchildren: Michelle (Brad) McKinney, Tracy (Joel) Swearingen of Greenwood and Sean (Tia) Hardesty, Six Great Grandchildren: Abbey, Alyssa, Drew, Megan, Ella, and Maggie

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wm. Bill Hardesty, and her parents.

Memorial Services will be conducted by: Order of Eastern Star, Graveside.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Home from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, April 18th, 2007, and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Thursday. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 19th, 2007, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Larry Corns officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery in Switz City, Indiana.
