Mrs. Jo Poindexter Dearmin, 82, of Odon, IN passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville. She was born on Nov. 6, 1930 at Sandborn, Indiana to Ives and Hattie (McBride) Poindexter. Jo married Joe Dearmin on August 25, 1999.

Jo was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, Indiana. She retired in 1992 as an Office Manager for American Consulting Engineers in Indianapolis.

Jo is survived by: her husband, Joe; one son, Steve Simpson of St. Petersburg, FL;
one daughter, Sydney Simpson (Roger) Pine of Odon, IN; step-son, John Dearmin of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Priscilla (Tim) Turner of Carmel; one brother, Dr. B.K. (Patty) Poindexter of Bluffton; one sister, Linda Dee (Sandy) Woodruff of Linton, IN; 7 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Jeanne Carter, Marjorie Anderson, Patricia Fiscus and Shirley Poindexter.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Father Dennis Latta officiating. Interment will follow at the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon.

Family and Friends may call from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2013 and from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the St. John's Episcopal Church in Washington, IN. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
