Nerva H. Maybaugh, 95, of Savannah, GA, and formerly of Greene Co., IN, passed away Saturday, May 19, 2012, at Spanish Oaks Retreat in Savannah, GA. She was born in Greene Co., IN on December 5, 1916, to Harvey and Berna (Hunter) Hamilton. On December 17, 1973, she married Carl R. Maybaugh.

Nerva was a graduate of business college in Indiana before taking a position as teller for Peoples Trust Company. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary and the VFW Post #6606 of Clay City, IN.

Survivors include one step-son: Jon Maybaugh of Savannah, GA; one step-daughter: June Hastings of Baltimore, MD; three step-grandchildren: Carrie Kellogg, Julie Allard and Jill Howgate; three step-great-grandchildren: Jessica Horn, Carson and Holden Howgate and one great-great grandson: Nathaniel

Nerva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Maybaugh (May 13, 2007); two sisters, Eva Jo Henderson and Cassidy Hamilton; and one brother, Bobby Hamilton.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, May 25, 2012 at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Friday, May 25, 2012.
