Obituary

Norma Jean Dean, 81, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with her loving husband at her side, on October 13, 2020 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born on September 2, 1939 in Paris, Illinois to Floyd T. and Anna Kathryn (Ashmore) White. Norma was married to her husband, Larry Dean, on June 6, 1992.


Norma was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and St. Ann's Altar Society. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 50 years. Norma loved traveling, new adventures, gardening and raising her chickens and dogs. She loved family gatherings and was famous for her chicken and noodle dinners.


Family left to cherish Norma's memory include: her husband, Larry Dean; three sons, Donald Atterson of Terre Haute, Douglas Atterson of Florida and Daniel Atterson of Terre Haute; one daughter, Donna Fagg of Prairie Creek; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Dean of Terre Haute.


Norma was preceded in death by: her parents, Floyd and Anna White; one brother, Thomas Edgar White; two sisters, Carol Ann Dopher and Julia Ellen Jones.


There will be a Mass of Christian Burial and a Celebration of Life at a later date.


Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Norma to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
