Obituary

Norman D. 'Butch' Dayhoff, 62, of Linton, IN, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2011 at the IU Health Facility in Bloomington, Indiana. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 18, 1948, to John Wm. and Mildred L. (Pruett) Dayhoff. Butch married Elizabeth A. 'Libby' Carpenter on September 10, 1966.

Butch was employed with General Electric, working in the Linton Plant as well as the Bloomington Plant, he retired in 1998. His hobbies included fishing, deer hunting and bowling on the GE Bowling League.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Dayhoff; one son, Laramy Dayhoff and companion (Wendy G. Holcomb) of Linton; grandchildren, Austin, Shaye-lynn and Avery; brothers, John (Connie) Dayhoff of Worthington and Edward (June) Dayhoff of Columbus, IN.

Butch was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Perry Dale Dayhoff (1969); three brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Linton, IN with Minister Pat Kelly officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until time of the service on Friday. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Linton, IN.
