Omar Ed Musselman, 83, of Apple Valley, California, passed away on December 9, 2022 in Apple Valley. He was born on February 10, 1939, at Linton Hospital to Omar Ernest and Mary Martha (Pennington) Musselman. Ed was married to Judith Ann (Mattioda) Musselman on July 29, 1962.

Ed was a member of the Masonic Lodge #166 F & AM. He attended Newberry Grade School until the 8th Grade and finished at Switz City Central High School, where he held the pole vault record for years. He graduated from Indiana State University in December of 1961. Ed was a schoolteacher for 43 years, most recently at Munster High School in California. In 1999, Ed was inducted into the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame, compiling a record of 413-78.

Family left to cherish the memories of Ed include: his wife, Judith Ann Musselman of Apple Valley, CA; one sister, Mary E. Hanna of Carlsbad, CA and one brother, Amos (Barbara) Musselman of Newberry.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Newberry Cornerstone Church, Newberry, Indiana. Ed will be laid to rest in Newberry Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Newberry Cornerstone Church or Newberry Cemetery with envelopes available at the church.
