Patricia Kay Heaton, 58, of Washington, Indiana, formerly of Linton, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011, at the Washington Nursing Center in Washington, Indiana. Patty was born in Linton, on October 16, 1952, to Wilbur Heaton and Betty (Allen) Borders. She was a beloved mother, sister, daughter and friend. Patty loved animals and rescued many. Her easy going spirit and pleasant disposition will be remembered always.

Patty was a graduate of Linton High School in 1971 and received a nursing degree from Vincennes University. She was a past employee of Bloomington Hospital and Ketcham Memorial Nursing Home in Odon, Indiana.

Survivors include: daughter, Amie (Jeremie) Soltermann of Vincennes; son, Scott (Tammy) Franklin of Washington; eight grandchildren, Michael, Kaitlin, Aleighan, Isaiah & Krissy Soltermann, Skyler and Liam Franklin, and Cory Orndorff; two brothers, Keith McDonald of Linton, Michael Heaton and one sister Dolly (Jeff) Gentry of Linton.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wilma Jean Heaton Pope.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, October 9, 2011. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until time of service at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with all funeral arrangements.
