Paul L. Anderson, 75, of Linton, Indiana, went to meet his Lord, on Thursday, October 26, 2017. He was born on September 28, 1942 in Cherry Valley, Arkansas to Arlie J. and Mary L. (Lesley) Anderson. He married his loving wife of forty-seven years, Nancy C. (Myers) Anderson on July 30, 1970.
Paul was a US Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam Era in France. He was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, where he taught children's church and served as a trustee. Paul was a faithful volunteer at Glenburn Home and coached basketball at Calvary Christian School. He worked at Westinghouse/ABB in Bloomington and then at Crane Naval Base before retiring in 2013.
Survivors include: his wife, Nancy Anderson of Linton; two daughters, Crystal (John) Woods and Holly (Gary) White, both of Linton; six grandchildren, Aubrey, Andrew, Crislyn, Loreesa, Rayahna and Lucas; four step-grandchildren, Andru (Ashley), Allan, Alex and Ashton; one brother, Jim (Cindy) Anderson of Linton; two sisters, Joyce Gentry and Arlene (Kevin) Theroff, both of Linton.
Paul was preceded in death by: his parents; one brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Margie Anderson; sister, Audrey 'Terry' Enochs and one brother-in-law, Bill Gentry.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Doug Cassel and Pastor John Riker officiating. Paul will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton following military graveside rites provided by the American Legion Post #22.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, October 29 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to WYTJ Radio Station at Bethel Baptist Church, 12970 W 500 N, Linton, IN 47441. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
