Peggy J. Reichman, 76, of Linton, passed away peacefully on the morning of Aug. 10, 2014.  She was born in Newton, IL, on Dec. 23, 1937, to Aubrey and Lucille (McKinney) Chesnut.  She became the wife of John R. Reichman on Feb. 15, 1958.

Peggy has worked at the Peoples State Bank in Newton, IL, and also at the Bloomfield State Bank.  She was a devoted mother and grandmother that enjoyed quilting and all the activities in her Greene Acres neighborhood.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kimberly (Tom) Kirkwood of Bicknell and Lisa (Bart) Berns of Linton; a son, Jay R. (DeLayne) Reichman of Pasadena, TX; seven grandchildren: Jonathan (Dawn), Christopher (Holly), Emily, and Caroline Kirkwood, Audrey (Matt) Zaleski, Nick Jones and Derek (Theresa) Johnson; 4 grt-grandchildren: Claire, Harrison, Madalyn & Kylie: and a sister, Judith Conrad of Palestine, IL.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wed., Aug. 13th at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with John R. Gregg officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wed., Aug. 13th prior to the service at 1:00 PM.

The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry in Peggy's name.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
