September 21, 1959 – February 4, 2026
Rev. Randall "Randy" W. Butler, 66, was born on September 21, 1959, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to the late Rev. Willie Butler and Mable Butler. Randy lived a life devoted to faith, service, and family, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him.
A devoted servant of God, Rev. Butler ministered faithfully in New Goshen First Pentecostal Church and later at Soul's Harbor Church in Shelburn, where he was a member. His calling extended far beyond the church walls, as he spent over 20 years ministering in jails and prisons, bringing hope, compassion, and the Word of God to those most in need. He also served as a Volunteer Chaplain at Union Hospital, offering comfort and spiritual guidance during difficult moments. Randy also worked in management for several companies, including Great Dane and Kirby Risk.
Randy was known for his kind heart, steady faith, and willingness to serve wherever he was called. Outside of ministry, he enjoyed softball, basketball, fishing, and cherished time spent with family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lori Butler; beloved children: Stephen Butler (Jamie), Amanda Voudrie, Lacey Carroll (Jeffery), Joshua Wright (Cameron), and Caleb Wright (Whitley). He was a proud grandfather to Andrew Butler, Matthew Butler (Annastacia), Katie Butler; Raquel Sebastian; Brian Sebastian; Aiden Carroll; Madison Carroll; Autumn Wright; Levi Wright; Skye Wright; Kylo Wright; and Emery Wright. Also surviving are his siblings, who shared a lifelong bond with him and will forever cherish his memory: Judy Summers and Janice Clymer and is also fondly remembered by his favorite cousin, Kathy Shelly, who held a special place in his heart. He also left behind several nieces and nephews.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents and special friend, Jack McCarty, Sr.
Rev. Randall "Randy" Butler's life was a testimony of faith in action. His legacy of ministry, love, and service will continue to live on through his family and all the lives he touched.
