Raymond E. Ward, 70, of Jasonville, IN, passed away on December 15, 2013 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born on August 4, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN to Raymond Leon and Bessie M. (Shounk) Ward.

Raymond was a US Navy veteran, serving eight years during the Vietnam era.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 298 in Hymera and the Legion Riders. Raymond was a member of the Mini Cooper Club in which he drove the DragonA's Tail, Highway 129 in Tennessee many times.

Survivors include: one daughter, Bonnie L. Ward; granddaughters, Hanna and Shannon Shea all of North Stonington, CT; one sister, Mayme (Al) Taylor of Linton; three brothers, Bill (Judy) Ward of CT, Chuck Mason of OR, Keith (Karen) Mason of Hymera; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews also survive.

Raymond was preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Betty Copeland, Eileen Samm and one brother, Roy Ward.

Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in memory of Raymond.

Funeral services will be held at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2013 with Pastor Jim Cooper officiating. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service on Thursday.

The family has entrusted all arrangements to the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
