Rickie Gene Woods, 65, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on Monday, March 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on February 14, 1950 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Clifford M. and Clara B. (Johnson) Woods. Rickie married Darlene R. Engle on May 17, 1974.

Rickie was a US Army Veteran that served in Germany. He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 and BPO Elks #866. Rickie enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and cooking. He was employed at Carlisle Industries in Bloomington before his retirement in 2005.

Survivors include: a son, John Woods, of Indianapolis; a step-son, Michael (Marsha) Corns of Bloomington; two step-daughters, Pam (J) Yagle of Sandborn and Tonya (Don) Gratzer of Bedford; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Penny (Pat) Stone of Vicksburg and Connie (Terry) Montgomery of Linton; two brothers, Donald (Joyce) Woods of Cadiz, KY and Randall Woods of Jasonville; sister-in-law, Dalinda Woods of Jasonville; several nieces and nephews.

Military graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.
