Ricky J. Benedict, 65, of Linton, Indiana, formerly of Indianapolis, passed from this life, on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at his residence. He was born on October 3, 1954 in Beech Grove, Indiana to Fred J. and Barbara L. (Siebenthal) Benedict.

Ricky retired in 2017 from Dollar General Stores. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.

Family left to cherish the memory of Ricky includes: his mother, Barbara Benedict; son, Nevada Benedict; brother, Randy (Pam) Benedict; sister, Pam Tuttle, both of Indianapolis; niece, Mandy; nephew, Dillon and step-mother, Jean Benedict.

Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Fred Benedict and son, Dustin Benedict.

A family gathering will be held from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton.
