Robert K. Barton, 74, of Jasonville, IN, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2010, at Greene County General Hospital. He was born in Bridgeton, Indiana, on March 30, 1936, to Charles T. and Nada (Heber) Barton. On October 12, 1959, he married Roberta Green.

Robert was a steel worker for USX, retiring in 1990. He was a 4-H and Girl Scout Leader. Robert served in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his son, Bob Barton of Wheatfield; two daughters, Debbie Cervantes of Brighton, CO and Nada Nagel of Jasonville; Six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Charles Barton of California and two sisters, Emma Jo Baker of Indianapolis and Beverly Wallace of Oklahoma.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Roberta Barton in 2007, and three brothers, Lloyd, Glen and Everett Barton.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2010. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville, IN.
