Robert E. 'Bob' England, 90, of Sandborn, IN, passed away Wednesday, October 5, 2011, at Greene Co. General Hospital in Linton, IN. He was born on January 11, 1921, in Edwardsport, IN, to Edward and Bessie (Ireland) England. Bob married Dorothy Ines Terrell on September 27, 1944.

Bob was a coal miner with Shasta Coal Mine and then Wickes Lumber Company for 20 years. He retired in 1986. Bob enjoyed fishing, mowing and gardening.

Survivors include his daughter, Anna Bilyeu of Linton; granddaughter, Dawn Ann (Thompson) (Mike) Hockgeiger; great-grandson, Devan Michael Wood and great-granddaughter, Abbigale Hockgeiger all of Xenia, IL. Bob was also survived by one sister, Marcella Peg Woodruff of Odon.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dorothy England (January 3, 2007); son, Bobby England (February 27, 2009); two brothers and two sisters.

The funeral service will be Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 1:00 PM with Bryan Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Sandborn Cemetery in Sandborn.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday and from 11:00 AM until time of service on Saturday.
