Robert L. Greenwood, 85, of Jasonville, Indiana, formerly of Linton, passed away Monday, July 4, 2011 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Home. He was born in Linton, Indiana on March 14, 1926 to James T. and Zora (Simmons) Greenwood. On March 18, 1950 he married Kathryn A. Wakefield.

Bob served in the U.S. Army during WWII and received a Bronze Star. He was Superintendent of Linton Water Works for 36 years, retiring in 2005. He was a member, board member and trustee of the Linton Nazerene Church.

He is survived by his children, John (Christina) Greenwood of Princeton, Jeffrey (Cathy) Greenwood of Linton, Mary Ann (Jim) Mason of Princeton and Autumn (Dallas) Gose of Jasonville; 13 grandchildren, Scott, Roger and Laura Greenwood, Kaki (Chad) Coleman, Matthew and Daniel Greenwood, Jenny Burdette, Dwain Dyer, LaDonna (Joey) Slunder, Krystal Fish, Jason (Pamela) Gardner, Katrina Gold and Shalynn Gose. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Kathryn on June 12, 2006, his son, Roger Greenwood, one brother and one sister.

The Greenwood family has chosen cremation and there will be no visitation or funeral services. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana at a later date.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, Indiana with all arrangements.
