Ronald W. Hallett, 66, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Linton Nursing and Rehab. He was born on June 30, 1941, to Charles H. and Flossie Naomi (Chastain) Hallett in Carlisle, IN.

Ron was a maintenance mechanic and retired in 2002.

Survivors include his daughters, Susan Anderson of Linton, Robin Crost and Christian Kester both of Sullivan; five sons, Larry Morton of Jasonville, Brian Morton of Sandborn, Steve Morton of Owensville, Les Morton of Bloomfield and Kevin Hallett of Sullivan; two brothers, John Hallett of Fort Myers, FL and Jerry Hallett of Bicknell. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Eric M. Anderson (11/23/07).

For those who wish to make a memorial contribution, the family has named the Eric Anderson Scholarship Fund located at any Bloomfield State Bank location.

Cremation is scheduled and there will be no funeral service in accordance with Ron's wishes. There will be a private memorial service at a later date with Rev. Scott Rasico officiating.

Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
