Sarah A. Wilkinson, 85, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011. Born in Linton, Indiana, on January 10, 1926, she was the daughter of Charles and Linda (Owens) Smith. On December 26, 1946, she married Leslie H. Wilkinson, who preceded her in death.

Sarah was employed at General Electric, Linton Plant, for 28 years and she retired in 1983. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Aux. Post #22 and the VFW Ladies Aux. Post #7118, both of Linton.

Survivors include two daughters, Diane L. (Alvie) Burden of Evansville, IN, Susan E. Gregory of Madisonville, KY; Son-in-law, James Gregory of Linton; three grandchildren, Jason (Amy) Gregory, Brandi (Jay) Burgess, Stephani Burden; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maxine Lawson of Memphis, TN.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leslie Wilkinson, May 17, 1985, and one son, Danny Joe Wilkinson, December 26, 2004.

The funeral service will be at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
