Sharleen K. Brookshire, 78, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven, at Glenburn Nursing Home on Saturday, November 22, 2025. She was born on July 26, 1947, in Linton, Indiana to Robert E. and Joretta A. (Padgett) Dixon. Sharleen married the love of her life, Robert Lee 'Bob' Brookshire, on March 30, 1973.

Sharleen was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, and Past Matron Order of Easter Star Chapter #198 in Newberry. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, camping, traveling, going to grandkids sporting events, and watching IU basketball.

Family left to cherish the memory of Sharleen includes: one son, Jeff Brookshire of Loogootee, IN; one daughter, Jennifer (Ray) Murdock of Linton; grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Emily, and Lilly; great-grandchildren, Danielle, Carson, Alex, Cooper, Xavier, Elijah, Rhett, and Ryker.

Sharleen was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert Lee 'Bob' Brookshire; brother, Rick Dixon.

Funeral services to honor the life of Sharleen will be at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Bryan Sanders officiating. Sharleen will be laid to rest in Prairie Chapel Cemetery in Lyons.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
