Sharon Lee Pittman, 80, of Linton, IN, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011, at her residence in Linton, IN. She was born on March 18, 1931, in Sullivan Co., IN, to Paul and Forest (Mounts) Cleveland. Sharon married Elra 'Bud' Pittman on August 23, 1947.

Sharon was a homemaker and a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Bud in RV Volunteers, which assist in constructing new churches, teen centers, etc. She also took pleasure in riding motorcycles with Bud.

Survivors include her husband: Elra 'Bud' Pittman; three sons: Byron (Nancy) Pittman of Lyons, Curt (Terry) Pittman of Switz City, Gale (Jeannette) Pittman of Lyons; one daughter: Roxie (Larry) Wertenberger of Benton, AR; nine grandchildren: Jeromy, Greg, Chris, Luke, Josh, Kylee, Sean, Erin and Shannon and nine great-grandchildren.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Garvey Cleveland.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Linton Nursing and Rehab. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Wednesday.
