Sheryl L. 'Sherry' Vingis, 72, of Lyons, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her family at Indianapolis, Indiana on Monday, October 1, 2018. She was born on July 25, 1946 in Linton, Indiana to Harry Marlin and June T. (Thomas) Bradfield. Sherry married her loving husband, James S. Vingis, on March 27, 1965.

Sherry loved being a housewife and mother. She enjoyed reading, genealogy, history and many friendships.

Survivors include: her husband, Jim Vingis of Lyons; one daughter, Shelly (Erik Kreffel) Vingis of Bloomington; one brother, Gary (Barbara) Bradfield; one sister, Nelda Fish, both of Lyons.

Sherry was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Tom Anderson officiating. Sherry will be laid to rest in Marco Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, October 5 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
