Stanley D. Myers, 60, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2011, at his home. He was born on August 29, 1951, in Linton, Indiana, to George F. and Gladys L. (Null) Myers. Stanley married Carol L. Word in June of 1989.

Stanley was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a Mechanic with Griffin Industries, his hobbies included, drag racing, working on cars and enjoying the outdoors.

Survivors include four sons, Kyle (Danielle) Myers, Eddie and Paul Turpin all of Linton and Darrell (Heidi) Myers of Mitchell, Indiana; two brothers, William (Sandra) Myers of Midland and Steven (Sue) Myers of Jasonville; eight grandchildren, Jesika, Damian, Taryn, Cameron, Hunter Turpin, Hunter Myers, Addie and Camden Myers; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carol Myers on August 28, 2011 and one brother Phillip N. Myers.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton at 1:00 PM with Shawn Farris officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery with full Military Rites.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until time of service of Wednesday.
