Stephen D. 'Steve' Bedwell, 64, of Linton, IN passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 his residence in Linton, IN. He was born in Linton, IN, on May 11, 1945 to Donald 'Don' L. and Iris A. (Maddison) Bedwell. Steve married Sherry L. (House) Bedwell on December 27, 1964.

Steve was employed at Peabody Coal Company as an Electrician and then Ford Motor Company, where he retired in 2007. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and United Mine Workers Association and a former member of the Elks.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry L. Bedwell; sons, Doug (Susan) Bedwell and Cory (Carrie) Bedwell, both of Linton, IN. Steve also has two sisters, Paula (Dave) Hollingsworth of Linton, IN and Donna (Joe) Chipman of Bloomfield, IN.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 26, 2009.Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, December 26, 2009, at 1:00 PM, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN with Brother Jerry Carmichael officiating. Interment will follow in the German Memory Hill Cemetery in Linton, IN.
