Thomas Edgar McGriffin, 85, of Carmel, IN passed away on Friday, March 8, 2013 at his residence. He was born on August 26, 1927 in Linton, IN to Henry and Floy (Meek) McGriffin. He married Patricia Campbell on August 26, 2004. His first wife, Patricia McKeigue precedes him in death.

Thomas served with the United States Army Air Corp and was a member of the American Legion of Winter Haven, Florida. He worked as an electrician until his retirement in 1990.

Survivors include: three sons, Steven Thomas McGriffin of Indianapolis, Richard Keith McGriffin of Honolulu, HI, Michael Lee McGriffin of Valparaiso, IN; one daughter, Marla Kay Rousseau of Ipswich, MA; one step-daughter, Ann McGriffin of Indianapolis; one sister, Elaine Taylor of Nashville, TN; eight grandchildren and ten great-grand children also survive.

Thomas was preceded in death by: his parents, first wife, Patricia and one sister.

A private memorial service will be held in Carmel at a later date, with military graveside rites at Linton pending.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Funeral Homes of Linton with these arrangements.
