Timothy L. Poynter, 55, of Linton, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 8, 1955, to Jesse and Doris L. (Bechtel) Poynter. On May 26, 1992 he married Michele L. (Watson) Poynter.

Tim was a laborer with construction. He was a member of the BPO Elks #866, Loyal Order of the Moose and Sons of the American Legion Post #22.

Survivors include his wife, Michele Poynter; three aunts and several cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Ronald Poynter.

The family has requested that Memorial Contributions be made to Hospice of Bloomington. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, December 3, 2010. Visitation will continue from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM with Rev. Erica Roth officiating. Interment will follow at Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, Indiana. There will be a BPO Elks #866 Memorial Service on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 7:00 PM.
