Tonia M. Johnson, 41, of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born in Columbus, Indiana, on March 8, 1966, to Bill M. and Helena (Young) Tungate. On August 2, 1992, she married James H. Johnson, who survives.

Tonia was a Nursing Assistant for Muscatuck State Hospital and group homes until 2001. She attended the Assembly of God Church in Linton.

Survivors include her husband, James H. Johnson, one daughter, Reba C. Johnson at home, two sisters: Kim Lafollette of Butlerville and Angie Tungate of Seymour, IN, and one brother, Bill Tungate of Seymour, IN.

Tonia was preceded in death by her mother.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 27, 2007. The funeral service will take place the same day beginning at 11:00 AM with Rev. Arlice Roberts officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

For those who wish to make a memorial contribution, the family has named the Linton Assembly of God Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
