Tracy Alan Bennett, 45, of Jasonville, IN, passed away on Friday morning, May 4th, 2012, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, IN. He was born in Linton, IN, on August 11, 1966, to Ralph W. Bennett and Gloria Jane (Hutchison) Gregory. On April 13, 2012, he took Elizabeth (Hubble) Bennett to be his wife.
Tracy was a coal miner for Bear Run mine. Tracy also enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, archery, wood working, shooting guns, gun collecting, horses, spending time with friends and family. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 22 as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge 560.
Survivors include his wife: Elizabeth Bennett of Linton; three sons Brandon (Savannah) Bennett and Richard (Chasity) House of Linton and JD Hubble of Vincennes; daughter: Joy (Fred) Hubble of Linton; parents: Ralph W. (Irene) Bennett and Jayne (Kenny) Gregory, all of Linton; grandchildren: Katelyn Blackwell, Harley Henico, Dixie House, Jessica Hubble, Jonathan Carrig, Russel (Lil' Man) Goodman, Chance Sherman, Emilee Sherman and Bristol Sherman; three brothers: Todd (Brenda) Bennett of Linton, J.D. (Leora) Mason of Bloomfield, and Billy (Angela) Gregory of Campbellsville, KY; one sister: Julie (Troy Harper) Bennett of Baytown, TX ; nieces and nephews: Rebecca Harper, Jessica Baize, Toddy Bennett, Halie Hutcherson, Audri Harper, Taylor Mason, Jackie Mason, Trey Sparks, Keshia Berlin, Pamela Collins, Conner Finley, Jayden Mason, Madison Mason, Dalton Boldrey; In-laws: Jim and Sue Bogard of Linton.
Tracy was preceded in death by his first wife Julia Bennett; grandson, Brandon House; Paternal Grandfather, Lester Bennett; Grandmother, Eunice Templeton; Maternal Grandfather, Charles Hutchison; Maternal Grandmother, Avery J. Puckett; and Paternal Great Grandparents, Fred and Edith Templeton; Maternal Great Grandparents: Frank and Corinne Browning.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Tue., May 8th, 2012, at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Pastor Jim Dill officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN, from 4:00 to 9:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2012, and again on Tues., May 8, 2012, from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 1:00 PM. A Masonic Service will be held at 7 P.M. on Monday, May 7, 2012.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Masonic Lodge. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel of Linton.
