Obituary

Virginia Lynch, 89, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011, at her residence in Linton. She was born on February 16, 1922, in Newberry, Indiana, to Earl V. and Vernia S. (Good) Rowe. On November 14, 1941, she married Claud W. Lynch.

Virginia was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Sandborn First Christian Church, Columbian Chapter No. 140 Order of Eastern Star and Past Matron of Sandborn Chapter No. 497 OES.

Survivors include her sons, Forrest C. (Sharon) Lynch and James D. (Libby) Lynch, both of Linton; daughter, Sue Wells of Wamego, Kansas; grandchildren, Debbie Alsman, David Lynch, Holly (Jason) Anderson, Kori Staab, Christopher Wells; great-grandchildren, Garrett and Breanne Alsman; and sister, Helen Steele of Linton.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Claud Lynch and two great-grandchildren.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Sandborn First Christian Church and/or Gideons International with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, August 11, 2011 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Bryan Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lyons, IN. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday. There will be an Order of Easter Star ceremony at 7:00 pm on Wednesday.
