Wayne Edmondson, 78, of Elnora, IN, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2010, at his residence. He was born in Daviess County, IN, on December 2, 1931, to Hollis C. and Jennie E. (Young) Edmondson. On May 16, 1959, he married Shirley L. Funcannon and they had two sons.

Wayne worked at Westinghouse in Bloomington for twenty-five years, retiring in 1991. He was a member of Elnora Christian Church and the White River Valley Antique Association.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Edmondson; two sons, Vance (Brandy) Edmondson of Terre Haute and Jeff (Shelley) Edmondson of West Terre Haute; five grandchildren, Brittany, Bryce, Brody, Kaleb and Kendal Edmondson; and three sisters, Norma Callison of Elnora, Mary Fields of Indianapolis and Judy Smith of Elnora. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and his mother-in-law, Ruth Funcannon of South Bend.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Clarence A"TeA" Edmonson and Max Edmondson and one sister, Wilma Moore.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Elnora Bible Institute, 101 S. State Rd. 58, Elnora, IN 47529. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Elnora Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, IN.
