Wendell R. Bays, 86, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at his residence.  He was born in Bloomfield, Indiana on September 25, 1933 to Ernest and Inez (Fuller) Bays.

Wendell worked for Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1992, with 32 years of service.  He cherished his antique cars and loved his new white German Shepherd 'Bear'.

Wendell was preceded in death by: his parents Ernest and Inez; his sister, Juanita Bays Wheeler; his five brothers, Garrett, Robert, Forest, Glen and twin brothers, Darrell and Denis Bays; longtime companion, Doris Mills.

Family left to cherish the memory of Wendell includes: his local nieces, nephews and cousins, Randy (Karen) Bays of Zionsville, Teresa (Mark) Myers of Bloomfield, Carol Dunham and Myra Bays, both of Worthington, Barbara Graves of Linton; with many great nieces, nephews and extended family.

Wendell was recently reunited with a daughter, Linda Teagardin of Greenwood, IN.

A funeral service honoring the life of Wendell will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Meng Family Funeral Homes, Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Dick Smith officiating. Wendell will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, November 8 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
