William L. "Bill" Armstrong, 67, of Dugger, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Greene County. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 17, 1948 to William J. and Margaret Louise (Osting) Armstrong. William was joined in marriage to Georgina Camden on August 12, 1967.

Bill served in U. S. Army from 1968-1970. He was a carpet layer for Smith Floor Covering from 1970-1980.  He then was a union coal miner at the AMAX Coal Co. until his retirement in 2010.

Survivors include: his wife; Georgina "Sis" Armstrong; two daughters, Margaret (Tim) Church of Linton and Billie Jo (Brian) Butler of Sullivan; granddaughters, Emily Church, Daisy Butler; grandsons, Jordan Bradbury, Tanner Butler and Hunter Butler; three great-granddaughters; two brothers, Mike Gillespie of Plainfield and Hubert 'Butch' Gillespie of Dugger; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceding Bill in death were: his parents; his son, Willie and one brother, Larry Armstrong.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, December 1st at the Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel with Rev. Dick Smith officiating.

Family and friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel on Tuesday, December 1st from 2:00 PM until the time of service.
