William H. Colley, 93, of San Antonio, TX, formerly of Bicknell, IN, died April 10, 2015. Bill and his wife, Norma E. (Osborn) Colley, also of San Antonio, formerly of Linton, who passed away on November 12, 2007, desired to be buried together in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN. Bill was born in Bicknell, IN on July 12, 1921, the son of William R. and Lula Mae (Maddox) Colley. Norma, born in Linton, on May 10, 1924, was the daughter of Shirley and Ethyl (Pearce) Osborn. Bill and Norma were married on May 9, 1941.
Bill Colley served in both the Army Air Corp and U. S. Air Force and was active in both World War II and Korea. He retired from the service in August of 1965 with the rank of Major. Norma Colley was a homemaker for their children and both, Norma and Bill served as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Survivors include: their two sons, Timothy B. and Stephen G. Colley both of San Antonio, TX; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and Norma's brother, Shirley Osborn Jr.
Preceding them in death are their parents and two children; daughter, Deidra Gale Weaver and son, James William Colley.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes will be available at the graveside service or you may mail contributions to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46240 for those wishing to make a donation.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton. Military graveside rites will be provided by the American Legion Post #22 of Linton. Family and friends are invited to attend.
The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with these arrangements.
