William E. Scott, 61, of Linton passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at his residence. He was born on September 12, 1949, in Vincennes, Indiana, to John William and Sally Ann (Ping) Scott.

William served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and received three Bronze Stars and one Purple Heart. He was employed as an USPS Postal Carrier.

Survivors include his half-brother, John Scott of Carlisle, Indiana; one sister, Judy Scott of Tampa, Florida; two aunts, Louise (Raymond) Baker of Worthington, Indiana and Arlene (Walter) Noel of Lyons, Indiana. William was also survived by several cousins.

William was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is following the wishes of William with cremation. Interment will be held at Prairie Chapel Cemetery, Lyons, Indiana at a later date. Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, Linton, Indiana has been entrusted with all arrangements.
